The Erst International Jagd-Ausstellung was an International Hunting Exhibition held in Vienna in 1910 to mark the 80th birthday of Emperor Franz Joseph. It was held in the rotunda built in 1873 for the world expo. The exhibition featured items related to hunting including prehistoric tools, precious weapons, craft items, and trophies as well as paintings,  drawing and sculptures. Works by Klimt and the Klimt group were displayed as well as a painting by Egon Schiele.

The illustrator Erwin Puchinger contributed greatly to the promotional material for the exhibition creating the catalogue, posters and two postcard designs.
Other contributors for the postcard designs include Elli Hoffmann (Erwin Puchinger’s wife), Hans Kalmsteiner, Sophie Honig, and Liane Fischer.
