Die Quelle was a 3-volume portfolio devoted entirely to surface decoration by publisher Martin Gerlach. The third volume was Koloman Moser’s Flächenschmuck (planar ornamentation) which shows Moser at the height of his talent as a graphic designer. This plate titled Tapet Masken is taken from the rare volume shows a beautiful synthesis of type-design and ornamentation.

HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT?
Many poster manufacturers use public domain ‘high- resolution’ images from the web. Often these images are poor scans or photos of the original without consideration for colour matching. In many cases, the images are not high resolution but resampled in imaging software to create a large pixel image. The result is a poor reproduction lacking important colour and detail.
We scan from the original.
Our prints are created from the ORIGINAL SOURCE and professionally scanned at 600 dpi so the image can be enlarged without loss of detail. The scan is then colour corrected in order to perfectly match the vibrancy of the original. Any tears, creases, stains from the original scans have been painstakingly removed, whilst still maintaining that vintage look.
